Being a twenty something ain't easy

Yes,life will change. All your friends ,the group will not be together.Forever would become a delusionary word, one of those hollow words which loses its significance when reality befalls.Life will never be the same.Love and relationships is what will seem the hottest topic to be discussed around the corner.Marriage would be the word you would dread off and want too.If all this is true you definitely are about to be 25 and more to follow. You would wish that the time should become still and you can live forever the life you have been living.Long STD phone calls and memoirs of the past is what you will be left with. You would frequently receive news from friends getting engaged or married and every conversation with any age group will end up in asking you the most dreaded question:So when are you getting married? As if it’s the latest fashion trend and you are left out and don’t have any idea about it.People will lecture you on being more responsible and you are left wondering haven’t living alone far from home since so many years proves that I am responsible and independent and can take good care of myself. If you can relate to all this then welcome to the elite group of adult and responsible people, yess you are no longer a kid though you still love to do kiddish things at many a times.

I remember when we were small playing a game of cricket with my cousin brothers . We were the mini - Sehwags of our locality and used to hit out the balls out of our compound more often than not and thereby losing it in the process .

Useless Trivia : I once hit a unbeaten 238(not out) in a match against my brother which happens to be the unbeaten record at my compound .

What followed next was the most dreaded period when we used to gingerly go up to some of our elders for requesting funds for our next ball . More often than not we will be lectured for the next 20 mins about how we should be careful and should not lose money . At that precise moment I used to envy the senior counterparts who have money to spare . I used to think when I have the money I will be spending it all on rubber balls , truck loads of Gems and innumerable comics . And the time came when I had my first stipend in my hand , I precisely remembered this moment . I then realized that each stage of life needs to be enjoyed as is . If we think too much we lose out on the special part of that particular stage of your life .

Often most of us wandered that why is childhood is the most desired period of the life once it has passed . For the simple reason that you were at your carefree best . Yes responsibilities have their place and must be taken up whenever they are expected from you . But at the end of the day you need to be a child at heart . I still regret missing out on my childhood by resenting the "privileges" elders have . I still regret missing out on my adolescent fun by dabbing in love when I should have been dabbing in more fun things . What I do not want to regret now is to miss out on enjoying the rest of my carefree days with complete abandon (with proper smatterings of responsibilities) .

As a well wisher for you I would advise the same for you . People will say a lot of things . Its up to you to filter those talks . Just want to conclude with these immortal lines from a T.V. show called F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

Joey: Go for it man! Jump off the high dive. Stare down the barrel of a gun, pee into the wind!

Chandler: I assure you, if I'm staring down the barrel of a gun, I'm pretty much peeing every which way!!!

P.S. :Have a nice weekend :)

P.P.S. : Although I do not guarantee it .. But I am planning to put my thoughts in a proper blog and all . Of course behind a veil ;)

P.P.P.S. : The blog name would be under that name I have posted in i.e. A Nony Mouse

P.P.P.P.S. : I have a left an innocuous hint about myself ... Let's see if your keen eye can spot that :)
